The three Rotary Clubs of Rugby have combined forces again this year and are delighted to receive support from Melbros the local building merchants, who are now a principle sponsor of this year’s fair.
Neil Melvin – Director of Melbros presented the cheque for £3,000 along with Ted the dog, who can often be seen on the Melbros website patrolling the yard with his ‘collar cam’. Neil said ‘Melbros are delighted to be sponsoring this year’s Rotary Spring Fair and support the various local, national and international Rotary charities’
Tony Meeson - President of the Rotary Club of Rugby Saturday Breakfast, commented “I am pleased on behalf of all three Rotary Clubs of Rugby to accept this cheque from Melbros which will be a significant contribution towards the event, we are confident we can grow on the success of previous years and hope to see our usual large crowds on the day”
The Rugby Spring Fair is a major family fun day and has been one of the largest social events held annually in the town for the last 38 years, with regular attendances of up to 10,000 people of all ages. This year once again it will be held on the Whitehall Recreation Ground, Hillmorton Rd. There will be a full Fair Ground, two arenas, many local charity stalls, specialist stalls, food stalls, and plenty of opportunity for family fun.
The date for your diary is Monday 2nd May, so look out for further announcements, come along, join in the fun and help to raise money for local charities.
